Display a customer, employee, or vendor name differently

By changing the Display name as setting, you can choose how customer, employee, or vendor names are displayed on pages, lists, and registers:

Tip: This means you can see some customers or vendors on lists by their company name and some by the name of the individual.

  1. Open the appropriate page, for example, the Customer page.
  2. Select a name.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Click the Display name as drop-down arrow and choose how you want the name displayed.

    Note: Only information entered in the First name, Last name, and Company fields appears in the Display name as menu. Only customers and vendors have a Company field.

  5. Click Save.
