GST/HST

When setting up your GST/HST agency details in QuickBooks, select the filing frequency that you have agreed upon with the CRA.

This period is assigned when you register for GST/HST. It is based on the total of:

• annual taxable supplies of goods and services made in Canada;
• zero-rated supplies of goods and services;
• annual taxable supplies of all your associates.

You can choose to file more frequently than the period assigned by the CRA.

PST or QST

Your filing frequency can differ between your federal and provincial return. Select the filing frequency that your provincial tax agency assigned when you registered for provincial sales tax.
