Enter or change your GST/HST, PST or QST account number
Enter or change your GST/HST, PST or QST account number in the Rates and settings window.
- In the navigation bar, click Sales Tax.
- Click Rates & Settings.
- Expand the Settings section, and enter the number as it should appear on printed sales forms.
GST/HST:
This is the business account number that you use to communicate with the CRA (for example, 123456789 RT 0001). It includes your:
- 9-digit business number
- 2-letter GST/HST program identifier
- 4-digit reference number
PST or QST:
This is one of the following:
- Manitoba: Manitoba uses the CRA business number for communications about PST
- Québec: Québec Enterprise number (NEQ) - a ten-digit number that is assigned when you register your business with the Registraire des entreprises
- Prince Edward Island: Supplier Business Number - a six-digit supplier account number, plus a four-digit class code, that is assigned when you register with the Minister of Finance and Municipal Affairs
- Saskatchewan: Supplier's licence number - the number that is assigned when you register as a supplier with Saskatchewan Finance
To enter or change the number:
- Enter your CRA business number in Company Settings. (Click the Gear icon > Company Settings.)
- Open the Sales Tax page.
- Click Rates and Settings.
- Expand the Settings section, and enter the number as it should appear on printed sales forms.
