Lucky you! If we ask you for your bank account info, your account is eligible for a direct-feed connection.
- Complete all the fields so they match exactly what you have at the bank. This is important because the approval process takes up to 10 business days and if anything is incorrect, you'll need to start over again.
- If there are two bank account holders, enter the information for both.
- In the QuickBooks account field, if you can't find the right type of bank account, create a new one.
- After you enter your bank info, click Next.
- Click Print the form. QuickBooks opens a new browser tab with your authorisation form.
- Double-check your info one more time.
- Print the form.
- Go back to the browser tab with QuickBooks and click I'll sign and post the form.
- Click Return to the Banking page.
- Hand-sign the printed form. If there are two account holders for the bank account, both need to hand-sign the form.
- Post the form to the address on the form.
- Wait while Intuit and your bank approve the connection. This can take up to 10 business days. Then your bank will start sending your transactions from the approval date forward. No historical transactions will be sent to QuickBooks.
- To get historical transactions, wait until your bank starts sending you the direct-feed transactions. Then you can go to your bank's website and download the transactions that occurred before your direct feed started.
- To check the authorisation status of the account, go to its banking page. You can find any messages there.
In the navigation bar, click Transactions > Banking.
-
If you're new to connected accounts, learn how to review, add, and match your transactions from the For Review tab into your books.
- To connect another account, go to Connect an Australian bank or credit card account and repeat the same steps for each account.
For direct-feed connections, your bank sends your transactions to QuickBooks nightly, Monday through Friday. Each bank sends transactions a little differently.
