Print forms for window envelopes

You can print a sales form so that the customer's address and your return address are visible through a size 10 window envelope.

To set up your forms for window envelopes:

  1. Click the Gear icon > Custom Form Styles.

  2. To change the Standard style for all types of forms, click Edit.
    Or, click New style and then select Invoice, Estimate, or Sales Receipt from the list at the upper-left to start a new style.
  3. On the Design tab, select the last option for print settings and check Window envelope compatible and payslips.
  4. Click Done.

Limit the lines of your return address

To make sure the return address will be visible through the window, you should limit it to six lines.

QuickBooks formats your return address like this:

Your Company Name

Address line 1

Address line 2

Address line 3

Address line 4

City, County, Postcode

Any text in Address lines 5 or greater is not included on the return address.

If you need to shorten or change your return address, click Gear icon > Company Settings > Company address.

To make sure the customer's address will be visible through the window, you should limit it to six lines.

QuickBooks formats the customer's address on up to six lines like this:

Customer Name (if entered in the customer's information page)

Customer Company Name (if entered in the customer's information page)

Address line 1

Address line 2

Address line 3

Address line 4

City, County, Postcode

Address line 5 is included only if either the Customer Name or the Customer Company Name is omitted.
