Manage custom form styles
From the Custom Form Styles page (Gear icon > Custom Form Styles), you can take action on the styles you've already added.
To edit a custom form style:
- In the row of the style you want to edit, click Edit in the ACTION column.
- Make any changes.
- Click Preview or Print at the bottom of the screen to see the results of your choices, and then click Save when you're done.
To preview a custom form style:
- In the row of the style you want to preview, click the arrow in the ACTION column and select Preview. A new browser window opens, showing a preview of the form using placeholder data.
- (Optional) To print the preview, right-click it and select Print, or click the Print icon if you see one at the top or within the preview window.
- Close the window when you've finished previewing the form.
You can also preview a form style with actual data from within a transaction. With an invoice, estimate, or sales receipt open, first click Customise at the bottom of the page and select your style. Then click Print or Preview.
To rename a custom form style:
- In the row of the style you want to rename, click the arrow in the ACTION column and select Rename.
- Enter a new name for the form and click Done.
To delete a custom form style:
- In the row of the style you want to delete, click the arrow in the ACTION column and select Delete.
- Click Yes, delete this style to confirm.
If you have transactions that used that style, QuickBooks assigns the Standard form style to them automatically.
