Manage custom form styles

From the Custom Form Styles page (Gear icon > Custom Form Styles), you can take action on the styles you've already added.

To edit a custom form style:

  1. In the row of the style you want to edit, click Edit in the ACTION column.
  2. Make any changes.
  3. Click Preview or Print at the bottom of the screen to see the results of your choices, and then click Save when you're done.

To preview a custom form style:

  1. In the row of the style you want to preview, click the arrow in the ACTION column and select Preview. A new browser window opens, showing a preview of the form using placeholder data.
  2. (Optional) To print the preview, right-click it and select Print, or click the Print icon if you see one at the top or within the preview window.
  3. Close the window when you've finished previewing the form.

You can also preview a form style with actual data from within a transaction. With an invoice, estimate, or sales receipt open, first click Customise at the bottom of the page and select your style. Then click Print or Preview.

To rename a custom form style:

  1. In the row of the style you want to rename, click the arrow in the ACTION column and select Rename.
  2. Enter a new name for the form and click Done.

To delete a custom form style:

  1. In the row of the style you want to delete, click the arrow in the ACTION column and select Delete.
  2. Click Yes, delete this style to confirm.

If you have transactions that used that style, QuickBooks assigns the Standard form style to them automatically.
