How do you know it is safe to enter your sign in information?

We build privacy into everything we do. We follow a strict set of guidelines and practices to protect all of your private information. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their promotional use.

Intuit is a licensee of the TRUSTe Privacy Program, an independent, non-profit organisation committed to the use of fair information practices. For full disclosure of our privacy practices, please review our statements on how we protect your data and your privacy.

How we protect your data

We rely on advanced, industry-recognised security and virus safeguards to keep all your financial data private and protected. With password-protected sign in, firewall protected servers, and the same encryption technology (128-bit SSL) used by the world's top banking institutions, we have the security elements in place to give you peace of mind.

You control who accesses your financial data and what they can see and do with it. Each person you invite to use QuickBooks must create a unique password and no one, not even the Chairman of Intuit, can see it.

QuickBooks includes a unique always-on Audit Log, which records every user who signs into QuickBooks and any changes made to every financial transaction. The Audit Log is a complete record of activities and cannot be turned off by a user. This means nothing can happen to your records without you or your accountant knowing about it.

Where is your data physically located?

Your data is stored on Intuit-owned servers protected by multiple layers of network, storage, logical, and physical access security. These servers are located in multiple data centres for redundancy, and they provide backup and disaster recovery capabilities.
