Why the statement changed since you created it
When you view a statement created in the past, it may not include the same information that it did when you created it.
This is because when you save a statement, you are actually saving the criteria you set when you created it. This means that if transactions have changed in the meantime, the statement changes, too.
For example:
- A balance forward statement includes activity between the start and end dates you chose. If new activity has occurred in the date range since you created the statement, it appears on the statement now.
- When it was created, an open item statement included transactions that had an open balance. If the customer paid off those transactions since you created the statement, they no longer appear on the statement.
Changes in statements do not affect your accounting.
