Manage categories

1. Click the Gear icon > All Lists. and select Categories.
2. Click New category.
3. Enter a Name for the category.
4. If you want to create a sub-category:
   1. Select the Is a sub-category checkbox.
   2. Click the Select a category drop-down arrow and select a category.

   You can have up to 4 category levels. For example, you can have parent category called Clothes and 3 sub-categories: Men's clothes, Shirts, and T-shirts.

5. Click Save.

After you add a category, you can assign your products and services to it.

When you edit a category, all products, services, and sub-categories are updated automatically.

1. Click the Gear icon > All Lists. and select Categories.

2. Find the category you want to edit.
3. In the action column, click Edit.
4. Enter your changes as needed.
5. Click Save.

When you remove a category, items assigned to it are either moved up one sub-category level or reclassified as Uncategorized.

1. Click the Gear icon > All Lists. and select Categories.
2. Find the category you want to remove.
3. In the Action column, click the drop-down arrow.
4. Select Remove.
5. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove the category.

You can show or hide categories when you print or email a sales form. For example, you can hide your categories on invoices if you don't want your customers to see them.

1. Click the Gear icon > Custom Form Styles.

2. In the Action column of the style you want to change, click Edit.
3. Click the Activity Table tab.
4. To hide categories when you print or email the form, clear the Category checkbox. To show categories, select the checkbox.
5. Click Save.
