Learn more and apply for QuickBooks Payments

You need to have administrator rights in QuickBooks to set up the Payments service.

QuickBooks Payments lets you accept credit and debit cards by swiping the card, typing in credit card details, or emailing an invoice with a Pay Now button.

What are the fees for QuickBooks Payments?

To get started:

  1. Click the Gear icon > Company Settings (or Account and Settings depending on what you see).
  2. Click the Payments tab at the left. Then:
    • To apply for the Payments service, click Learn more.
    • If you already use the Payments service and you're ready to transfer your account to this QuickBooks company, click Connect.

By the way, you'll find other ways of setting up QuickBooks Payments, such as the Get set up link from the Invoice page, or the Accept Payments in QuickBooks links from the Sales Receipt or Receive Payments pages. These other links all take you through the same setup path.
