The transaction was declined for one of the following reasons: the credit card number was not entered correctly, the customer provided an incorrect card number, or the credit card account is closed.
Suggestions
- Verify that you entered the credit card number correctly, and then try to process the transaction again. If you do not have the card in hand, contact the customer to verify this information.
- If the card is declined a second time, ask the customer for a different credit card or another form of payment.
