You need a referral authorization code from the bank that issued this credit card to process the transaction.

The bank that issued the credit card has put a hold on the account. Some credit card issuers do this routinely if an account has been inactive for a long period or there is a noticeable change in account activity.

Suggestions

• Call the appropriate credit card voice authorization center (it's shown in bold text on the Credit Card Transaction Status window) and ask for a referral voice authorization.

  The voice authorization center may transfer you to the bank that issued the credit card. In some cases, the card issuer may request to speak to the cardholder.

  When you get the code, enter it into the Authorization Code field. When you click OK, your transaction is immediately reprocessed.

• If you do not want to get a referral authorization, you can ask the customer for a different credit card or another form of payment.
